As long as you keep the deal, you will struggle to complete your work so you can get your prize. It does not actually matter what your reward is, as long as we are talking about something that you really enjoy.
- Start a competition with a classmate. For sure you have one or two colleagues who are procrastinating as often as you do. Why not help each other in the best way possible? The one who will receive the highest marks for homework in a week, will offer lunch in the weekend. It will be fun, entertaining and for sure you will be much more willing to finish when it’s something in the middle. Who knows, maybe you will become best friends after this experience.
- Don’t postpone anything. It might be tempting to take a nap in the afternoon before studying, but this will only make things more difficult. Your power of concentration is low during the evening therefore it will take much longer to finish all the exercises. Finish your work as soon as you get home, and you can enjoy the rest of the day after that.
- Close your phone. Anything that is distracting you needs to be removed from your room. Close your phone, your laptop and the TV. Don’t keep your pet in the room, because you will not be able to stop playing with it. You have to work efficiently, and this means that you must focus only on one thing at a time. Don’t try to write an essay and search information in math book, because this will clearly not work. Take it step by step.
